Where are the courses located?

We currently have course offering in the Bishop, California and Boulder, Colorado areas. See course descriptions for details.

Do I need to climb a particular rating to take ____ course? 

No. You do not need to climb at any specific level to take our courses! Our courses are designed to help all climbers understand systems and techniques. We do have some prerequisites and recommendations for technical skills knowledge, which will help participants decide if they are choosing the appropriate course (see course descriptions for more details).

Will gear be provided?

We will provide climbing equipment – personal climbing gear (harness, helmet, shoes and belay device) and group gear (ropes and hardware). However, we do recommend that participants bring their own climbing equipment (subject to instructor inspection and discretion).

What is included in the cost of registration?

Courses include: 2 full days of climbing instruction – expect to be outdoors 6-8 hours per day (roughly 8:00am – 5:00pm, weather and temperature dependent). We will provide climbing equipment – personal climbing gear as needed (harness, helmet, shoes and belay device) and group gear (ropes and hardware). However, we do recommend that participants bring their own climbing equipment (subject to instructor inspection and discretion).

What isn’t included in the cost of registration?

Meals, beverages, and transportation costs are not included.

Are scholarships available?

No, scholarships are closed due to the cancellation of all our education courses. Please see more information about the cancellation of our education courses, click here.

Who can attend the course?

Flash Foxy Education is offering courses in Spring 2020 for women and enbies. We plan to open up courses to all genders in future seasons. Courses are open to ages 16 and over. If you are a guardian for a minor who wants to attend, please email us at arianna@flashfoxy.com

What if I registered for a Flash Foxy Education course and am no longer able to attend?

Unfortunately, we are unable to guarantee refunds. See COURSE FEE, DEPOSIT & CANCELLATION POLICY for details. 

Are Flash Foxy courses rain or shine?

Yes, our Flash Foxy Education courses run rain or shine. You will receive pre-course information from your instructor regarding weather, any last minute schedule changes and back-up plans. Each course will be different. Some courses will operate as planned, rain or shine. Others may provide alternative venues. Because we can’t be certain on the weather, please be prepared for cold/precipitation or sun/heat. See our COURSE FEE, DEPOSIT & CANCELLATION POLICY for more details.

What is your cancellation policy?

30 days or more prior to the course starting date, Flash Foxy will refund the balance of course fees, less a 25% administrative fee. You may apply the full balance to another course within 12 months of the original course date (rescheduling is subject to availability).

Less than 30 days prior to the course start date: program fees are non-refundable and non-transferable to another trip.

Flash Foxy reserves the right to cancel a trip due to low enrollment up to the listed course cancellation deadline. In the event of a course cancellation due to low enrollment, Flash Foxy will refund the course fees. 

Flash Foxy or the partner Guide Service reserves the right to cancel a course due to environmental conditions, weather or other unforeseen circumstances. In the event of a course cancellation less than 30 days prior to the course start date, Flash Foxy will reschedule or provide participants with an alternative course within 12 months of the original course start date. Course fees will not be refunded.

In the event of cancellation or rescheduling, Flash Foxy is not responsible for covering additional trip expenses, including change or cancellation fees for travel, accommodations or other arrangements.
