Flash Foxy’s Education Program was created from an identified need for national standardized curriculum for recreational climbers. While the AMGA has been providing standardized curriculum for the professional development of guides for many years, we don’t have an equivalent for recreational climbers.

This Spring, we are excited to offer courses in: Intro to Outdoors, Leading Trad, Multi-pitch: Technique + Efficiency, and Self Rescue. Courses are offered in various locations around the US.Initial course offerings will be in California’s Eastern Sierra area, partnering with Whitney Basecamp and the Colorado Front Range, partnering with Women’s Wilderness, with hopes to expand through the year.

The cost for each course is $375 USD. Registration cost does not include the cost of travel, meals and transportation to/from the crag. For more information about course descriptions, dates and location, click here.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships are funded through the Flash Foxy Education Leadership & Development Fund. For Spring 2020, we are offering full and partial scholarship to our Flash Foxy Education Program. Each recipient will be awarded with funding for a clinic of their choosing.

We will prioritize those who wish to develop and share their climbing skills because they are leaders in their community.

Scholarship are closed until 2021.

COURSE FEE, DESPOSIT & CANCELLATION POLICY

Course Fee: $375

Deposits: 50% deposit is due at the time of reservation. Use promo code: regular_deposit on Eventbrite to pay 50% of course fees upon registration. We do offer payment plans with a 25% deposit – if you need a payment plan, please reach out to us at info@flashfoxy.com

Course Fees: 100% of the course balance is due 30 days prior to the start of the course.

Cancellations: 30 days or more prior to the course starting date, Flash Foxy will refund the balance of course fees, less a 25% administrative fee. You may apply the full balance to another course within 12 months of the original course date (rescheduling is subject to availability). Less than 30 days prior to the course start date: program fees are non-refundable and non-transferable to another trip.

Flash Foxy reserves the right to cancel a trip due to low enrollment up to the listed course cancellation deadline. In the event of a course cancellation due to low enrollment, Flash Foxy will refund the course fees. 

Flash Foxy or the partner Guide Service reserves the right to cancel a course due to environmental conditions, weather or other unforeseen circumstances. In the event of a course cancellation less than 30 days prior to the course start date, Flash Foxy will reschedule or provide participants with an alternative course within 12 months of the original course start date. Course fees will not be refunded.

In the event of cancellation or rescheduling, Flash Foxy is not responsible for covering additional trip expenses, including change or cancellation fees for travel, accommodations or other arrangements.

INSURANCE:

We strongly suggest obtaining trip insurance. If you decline to take this option and are forced to cancel your reservation or trip, Flash Foxy will be unable to provide a refund your trip payment or deposit. 

We do not provide rescue insurance. Membership in the American Alpine Club includes rescue insurance and is recommended. See www.americanalpineclub.org
