About Flash Foxy

Flash Foxy began as an online platform in 2014 to celebrate women climbing with women and to be a place where women could come to feel inspired by and connected to each other. In 2016 we held the inaugural Women’s Climbing Festival in Bishop, CA. We now host Women’s Climbing Festivals in Bishop, CA and Chattanooga TN and will be hosting Summerfest, our first all-gender event this summer in Fayetteville, WV.

Overview of the position

The Graphic Design Internship is a paid, remote, part-time internship for 5-10 hours a week. The Graphic Design Intern will report to the Event Director.

The Graphic Design Intern is responsible for providing support to the team through a variety of channels, print, digital, web, video and other as assigned. The Graphic Design intern will assist with the development and design of Flash Foxy graphics, collateral, and event and promotional materials, as well as a variety of other creative tasks as assigned.


  • Source content for design outputs
  • Draft visual content to support development and communications teams
  • Draft promotional materials for Flash Foxy’s programs and events
  • Prepare images for social media posts (Facebook, Instagram), newsletter, etc.
  • Support on email and social media marketing
  • Organize and catalog design materials for events
  • Assist with content updates on our website (Wordpress)
  • Assist with general requests from Flash Foxy’s Event Director


  • Love of climbing!
  • Demonstrated interest in intersectional feminism and its relation to the outdoor industry.
  • Studying graphic design or a closely related major
  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail, willingness to learn
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in  and access to Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point)
    • Preferred: Experience in motion graphic creation and video editing experience preferred (FinalCut, Premier, or After Effects)
