The 2020 Women’s Climbing Festival in Bishop set to be held on March 20-22, 2020 is CANCELLED

Canceling the festival represents a major financial loss to our small grassroots company, owned and operated by women of color, in view of our contractual obligations to the festival venues, caterers, local partners, speakers, and many others. Though we are facing large losses, we will be offering a partial refund of 50% of all registration and clinic fees to all participants, although this may take a few weeks to process. Alternatively, we’d like to ask registered participants who are able, to consider donating their registration fees to Flash Foxy to help offset our non-recoupable expenses. We will graciously ask folks to only utilize that if you truly need the full refund – as part of the women’s climbing community, any support you can offer us during this incredibly stressful time is greatly appreciated. The registration cost for the weekend is $120 but we have also created an option to pay $145 if you are able and willing. We strongly believe in keeping the festival affordable so that women of all situations who love climbing can attend.  We have a “pay more if you are willing and able” model.  If you feel that you can afford the higher price and would like to help offset the costs for other participants, please select the “Superwomen” option during registration. We’re thrilled to be able to offer, for the first time, TEN scholarships to the Women’s Climbing Festival in Bishop taking place March 20-22, 2020. Each scholarship recipient will be receiving a ticket to the Women’s Climbing Festival in Bishop as well as a $250 travel stipend (if needed).
We will be prioritizing women and folks of underrepresented genders who are working to make climbing a more diverse space. We will also be taking the financial need into consideration. We strongly encouraged women of color, LGBTQ+ and indigenous women to apply. At this time we are no longer taking applications for the WCF in Bishop 2020.
